HighFlow Energy is committed to helping eligible customers access government energy concessions, rebates and relief schemes that may reduce the cost of their energy bills.
The assistance available to you depends on your state or territory and your personal circumstances. If you think you may be eligible for any of the programs below, please contact us and we can help guide you through the process.
Important: If you switch energy retailers, concessions do not always transfer automatically. You may need to reapply or provide updated concession details to ensure eligible rebates continue to be applied to your account.
Queensland Energy Concessions, Rebates and Relief Schemes
Queensland Electricity Rebate
The Queensland Electricity Rebate helps eligible concession card holders reduce the cost of their household electricity bills.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if:
- You are the electricity account holder
- The property is your principal place of residence
- You hold an eligible concession card, such as:
- Pensioner Concession Card
- Health Care Card
- Queensland Seniors Card
- Eligible Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card.
How the Rebate is Applied
The rebate is generally applied directly to your electricity account once your concession details have been registered with your retailer.
How to Apply
If you are eligible, please provide your concession card details to HighFlow Energy and we can assist with registering the rebate on your account.
Medical Cooling and Heating Electricity Concession Scheme
This scheme assists eligible customers who have a qualifying medical condition that makes it difficult to regulate body temperature and requires additional use of heating or cooling equipment.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if:
- You live in Queensland
- You hold an eligible concession card
- You have a qualifying medical condition certified by a medical practitioner
- You are financially responsible for the electricity account.
Examples of qualifying conditions may include:
- Multiple sclerosis
- Autonomic system dysfunction
- Severe burns
- Loss of skin integrity or sweating capacity
- Other approved conditions affected by extreme temperatures.

Home Energy Emergency Assistance Scheme (HEEAS)
HEEAS provides emergency financial assistance to households experiencing a short-term financial crisis and having difficulty paying their energy bills.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if:
- You are experiencing short-term financial hardship
- You are unable to pay your current electricity or gas bill
- You meet the Queensland Government eligibility criteria.
Assistance Available
Eligible households may receive one-off assistance to help pay overdue energy bills.
How to Apply
Please contact HighFlow Energy if you are experiencing payment difficulties. We can discuss available support options and assist you with the HEEAS application process.
Electricity Life Support Concession
The Electricity Life Support Concession assists eligible customers who require approved life support equipment in their home.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if:
- You or a member of your household relies on approved life support equipment
- The equipment is used at your principal place of residence
- Appropriate medical certification is provided.
Important Information
Customers registered for life support receive additional protections, including life support registration and notification requirements. Contact us immediately if life support equipment is used at your property.

New South Wales Energy Concessions and Rebates
Low Income Household Rebate
The Low Income Household Rebate helps eligible concession card holders reduce the cost of their electricity bills.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if:
- You are the account holder for the electricity account
- The account is for your principal place of residence
- You hold an eligible concession card, including:
- Pensioner Concession Card
- Health Care Card
- Low Income Health Care Card
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card
Assistance Available
Eligible retail customers can receive up to $285 per financial year as a credit towards electricity costs.
How to Apply
Contact HighFlow Energy and provide your concession card details. We can assist with applying the rebate to your account.
Family Energy Rebate
The Family Energy Rebate provides assistance to eligible households with dependent children who receive Family Tax Benefit payments.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if:
- You live in NSW
- You receive Family Tax Benefit payments
- You are the electricity account holder for your home.
Assistance Available
Eligible households may receive an annual rebate to help manage household energy costs.
How to Apply
Applications are managed through the NSW Government and Service NSW. More information is available through the NSW Government rebates website.
Medical Energy Rebate
The Medical Energy Rebate assists customers with certain medical conditions that require additional energy use for heating or cooling.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if:
- You hold an eligible concession card
- A qualifying medical practitioner confirms that someone in the household has a medical condition that makes temperature regulation difficult.
Assistance Available
Eligible retail customers may receive up to $285 per year towards electricity costs.
How to Apply
Supporting medical documentation may be required. Contact us for assistance with the application process.
Life Support Energy Rebate
The Life Support Energy Rebate assists households where approved life support equipment is used in the home.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if a resident relies on approved life support equipment, such as:
- Oxygen concentrators
- Home dialysis machines
- Ventilators
- Phototherapy equipment
- Other approved medical devices.
Assistance Available
The rebate amount varies depending on the type of equipment being used.
Important Information
Customers registered as using life support equipment receive additional protections, including restrictions on disconnection for non-payment.

Medical certification is required. Contact HighFlow Energy and we will guide you through the registration process.
Seniors Energy Rebate
The Seniors Energy Rebate helps eligible self-funded retirees manage household energy costs.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if:
- You live in NSW
- You hold a valid Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
- The property is your principal place of residence.
Assistance Available
Eligible households may receive an annual payment to assist with electricity expenses.
How to Apply
Applications are submitted through Service NSW.
Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA)
EAPA provides short-term emergency assistance to customers experiencing financial hardship and difficulty paying their energy bills.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if:
- You are experiencing a short-term financial crisis
- You are having difficulty paying your electricity or gas bill
- The account relates to your principal place of residence.
Assistance Available
EAPA provides energy bill assistance through vouchers that are applied directly to your electricity or gas account.
How to Apply
Eligibility assessments are conducted by approved EAPA providers and community support organisations. Contact us if you need assistance accessing support.

Australian Capital Territory Energy Concessions, Rebates and Relief Schemes
Electricity, Gas and Water Rebate
The ACT Electricity, Gas and Water Rebate (formerly known as the Utilities Concession) helps eligible households meet electricity, gas and water costs.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if:
- The account is for your principal place of residence
- The account is in your name
- You hold an eligible concession card, including:
- Pensioner Concession Card
- Health Care Card
- Low Income Health Care Card
- Eligible Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card
- ACT Services Access Card.
How the Rebate is Applied
The rebate is generally applied to your electricity account and helps offset electricity, gas and water costs.
How to Apply
If you are eligible, please provide your concession card details to HighFlow Energy and we can assist with registering the rebate.
Life Support Rebate
The ACT Life Support Rebate assists households where a resident relies on approved electrically-operated life support equipment.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if a resident uses approved life support equipment, including:
- Dialysis machines
- Oxygen concentrators
- Respirators
- CPAP equipment
- Other approved life support devices prescribed by a medical practitioner.
Important Information
Medical certification is required and eligibility is assessed in accordance with ACT Government requirements.
